Hydroxypropyl gamma cyclodextrin has a slightly larger cavity than gamma cyclodextrin, can accommodate a larger substrate than betacyclodextrin, has a higher water solubility, and is more resistant to crystallization

Application:

the hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin has a higher solubility in water, a stronger resistance to crystallization precipitation ability. Overall, hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin has higher solubility in water and stronger resistance to crystallization. γ-cyclodextrin solubility in water is 23.2g/100ml (25℃), but the solubility still limits its application in some cases.
